For the last six years, Kidney Action Week has brought the kidney community together for a week of informative and engaging content on all things related to kidney health. It’s an exciting way to learn from some of the most passionate and knowledgeable people in the kidney health community.

1. Where can I watch recordings of the sessions?
Event attendees can watch session recordings in the event hub. Non-attendees can watch all session recordings on YouTube.
1. Who should attend Kidney Action Week?
This virtual event is open to everyone who is interested in learning more about kidney health, including people living with kidney disease, caregivers, loved ones, and kidney professionals.
2. What topics will be covered?
Each day of the Kidney Action Week is conveniently focused on topics you care about the most. You can view the entire agenda here.
3. How much does registration cost?
Kidney Action Week is 100% free! You do have to register to access the sessions, but there is no fee to do so.
4. Are the Kidney Action Week sessions listed in my time zone?
The website converts time zones and provides you with the accurate start and end times for your registered sessions in your appropriate time zones.
5. Can I invite my friends to attend the event?
Yes! You can simply share the link to the event page to allow them to register and enter the event at their convenience.
1. Do I need to attend Kidney Action Week in-person to view the content?
The American Kidney Fund’s (AKF) Kidney Action Week is entirely virtual, and you can attend from anywhere you find convenient. All you need is access to the internet and a device on which to view the event.
2. Can I view Kidney Action Week sessions from my phone?
Yes, Kidney Action Week’s event platform is available from cell phones and can be watched anywhere you have access to the internet.
3. Do I have to sign up for sessions to attend?
No, you are not required to register for individual sessions. However, registrants can add sessions to their personal calendars and “bookmark” sessions. Again, this is entirely optional. This is not required to participate, and there is no cap on the number of attendees that can attend any session.
4. What is the difference between the bookmark and add to calendar buttons?
To “bookmark” refers to highlighting a specific session so you can find it again easily and the “add to calendar” button provides you with the opportunity to easily save sessions directly to the calendar app of your choice.
5. Do I need to download a streaming app to be able to watch the session(s) I registered for?
No. You do not need to download or install any software to participate in Kidney Action Week. You only need access to the Internet.
6. When will I receive the instructions for attending Kidney Action Week?
Once you register for Kidney Action Week, you will receive an email containing instructions on how to access the event. In addition, you’ll receive a reminder email the week before the event with a link to connect you directly to the event website.
7. Will closed captioning be available during the event?
Yes. Closed captioning is available for every session in English and Spanish on our YouTube channel.
1. I’m experiencing technical issues while trying to view a session. How do I resolve this issue and resume watching the session?
We are sorry to hear you are having difficulty watching this session. Please try refreshing your browser or using a different browser. All sessions will also be recorded and available to rewatch on our YouTube page and on the Kidney Action Week platform.
2. I’m unable to attend some live Kidney Action Week sessions but am still interested in viewing them at a different time. Can I access and view recordings of any session after the event?
All sessions will be recorded and available to rewatch on the Kidney Action Week website and on the American Kidney Fund’s YouTube channel. To access on the Kidney Action Week website, revisit the session description for the link to the video.
